Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking a Cover Delivery Driver to join our Supply Chain team. You’ll drive route assignments to cover vacations, deliver office supplies, and provide outstanding customer service on every stop.

You’ll load vehicles as needed and use GPS/POD devices to optimize routes, all within a safety-first culture. We offer competitive pay, safety bonus opportunities, work shoes after 30 days, PTO/holidays, 401(k) matching, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers' license with a driving record indicating a safe driving history acceptable to the company and at all times remain eligible to drive a commercial motor vehicle under applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen (No THC) to the extent legally permissible.
• Must obtain a 6-month DOT medical card specific to the role.
• Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
• Full-Time associates must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; overtime may be required based on business need.
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs, push and pull items weighing up to 400 lbs with assistance, and maneuver up to 130 lbs.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Drive a variety of route assignments to cover vacations and absences at least 50% of the time.
• Provide outstanding customer service by resolving problems and accepting product returns as required.
• Transport products safely and deliver office supplies on assigned route to customers.
• Load vehicles when volume requires and organize products for delivery using manifests.
• Maintain safe work practices and contribute to Staples safety culture.
