Route Delivery Driver (Myrtle Beach, SC)

International Gourmet Foods, Inc. (IGF) services restaurants, gourmet markets, clubs, caterers, bakeries, country clubs, breweries, wineries, and hotels throughout the eastern United States. We are driven by strong corporate and community values, upheld by our employees.

The Route Delivery Driver will safely operate a box truck and unload and deliver products (dry and frozen foods, meats, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on a set route schedule. Our drivers build relationships with each customer and are essential to IGF’s reputation for excellent customer service.

Note: CDL is NOT required.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Drive a reefer box truck to deliver high-quality food products to customers, primarily in the hospitality and food-service industries.
2. Track delivery progress and report issues in real time via routing software on a mobile device.
3. Communicate promptly with dispatch and management via phone or messaging.
4. Load, unload, and organize products for delivery.
5. Provide excellent customer service, check in orders, and collect payments upon delivery.
6. Perform daily vehicle checks for safety and maintenance.
7. Conduct safety inspections and prepare safety or incident reports as needed.
8. Comply with DOT regulations and traffic laws.
9. Maintain a positive MVR score throughout employment.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Required)

• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• No reckless driving, DUI, or DWI tickets.
• Clean driving record with positive points.
• Valid DOT physical card.
• 1-2 years of box truck route delivery experience.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, lift at least 55 lbs., stretch, and climb (ladders included).
• Perform delivery activities including checking, cleaning, loading, and pulling.
• Work comfortably in various weather conditions with frequent stops.
• Sustain prolonged standing and walking.
• Work across temperature zones (dry, frozen, refrigerated).

Schedule

Monday-Friday, covering delivery areas in Georgetown, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, and assisting with Wilmington market.
