Job summary

Specs Family Partners in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time route driver to deliver goods safely and on time. A valid Texas driver’s license is required (CDL not necessary) and you may need an MVR. You will load/unload, verify contents, follow routes, maintain delivery records, and provide excellent customer service.

Physical work includes lifting up to 100 lb, moving pallets up to 2400 lb with pallet jacks/dollies, and working 40 hours weekly with a flexible Friday/Saturday schedule.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of driving experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Clean driving record.
• Read, comprehend and write simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a box truck or tractor-trailer to deliver goods.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documents.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
• Communicate with dispatch or supervisor regarding any issues or delays during the delivery process.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers at delivery locations.
