Job description

The Delivery Agent collaborates with the Account Manager to efficiently deliver and service customers, aiming to increase sales annually while establishing strong relationships within assigned accounts. This position is based in Lodi, WI, servicing the Madison area.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1) General Sales and Delivery

• Load vehicles daily and park trucks in Lodi, WI.
• Follow inventory procedures to maintain accurate stock levels in trucks and depots.
• Ensure proper warehouse inventory, avoiding stockouts and ensuring product freshness.
• Plan, pick, and load trucks efficiently for deliveries.
• Adhere to start times set by the District Manager to meet receiving and delivery schedules.
• Represent the company positively when interacting with receivers, managers, owners, and customers.
• Manage merchandise accounts as per the “Pizza 101” program.
• Accurately invoice customers and complete daily paperwork.
• Perform deliveries and merchandising at assigned accounts as directed by the District Manager.

2) D.O.T Compliance

• Possess a valid Driver's License and Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement or be able to obtain one upon hire.
• Follow safe work practices and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Adhere to company policies, including accident and injury reporting.
• Operate and drive the delivery vehicle safely, practicing defensive driving.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and follow maintenance schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, recording findings appropriately.
• Ensure accurate hours of service documentation and respond promptly to alerts or discrepancies.
• Complete and submit all driver-related paperwork timely.
• Respond to temperature monitoring alerts and perform defrosting as necessary.
