Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to support delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You will learn multiple routes, deliver garments and products, and ensure timely, quality service to customers along established routes.

You will also handle invoices, inventory checks, and vehicle safety while maintaining strong customer relationships and following safety guidelines. This role offers growth, autonomy, and a fast-paced, varied daily routine.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• DOT compliance requirements including a physical exam.
• High school diploma or equivalent; military service acceptable.
• Strong customer service skills; ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Comfort with learning new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver garments and products to customers on established routes.
• Develop proficiency across multiple routes and route specifics.
• Provide excellent customer service and build customer relationships.
• Resolve customer requests independently with problem-solving skills.
• Track invoices, perform inventory checks, and maintain vehicle safety and appearance.
• Follow safety policies and traffic laws to ensure safety of self and customers.
• Support new account installations and assist on routes, including upselling opportunities.
• Communicate customer feedback to location leadership and monitor local competition.
