Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative’s Williamsport Plant is seeking a Route Coordinator to support distribution operations. The role trains new Driver candidates, oversees safety, and coordinates route scheduling with the Distribution Manager and Route Supervisor.

Typical hours are Sunday to Thursday, with nights and weekend work, and occasional holidays. CDL Class A license is required, and knowledge of route logistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Knowledge of route logistics and distribution operations recommended.
• Availability for nights, weekends and some holidays; Sunday–Thursday work week.

Responsibilities

• Train new Driver candidates and set training timelines.
• Conduct follow-up training and corrective actions based on performance.
• Educate Drivers on proper methods to deliver UNC products.
• Instruct drivers on ticket transactions and required paperwork.
• Educate drivers on customer interactions and product rotation.
• Teach trainees all duties related to their route.
• Introduce new hires to plant and cooler operations and key contacts.
• Coach drivers to reinforce safe work practices and best DOT practices.
• Train new/current drivers on best business practices in the Dairy industry.
• Run and review reports to support daily Distribution operations.
• Suggest route efficiency improvements and help with scheduling.
