Job summary

ABM Industries is hiring a Route Driver responsible for cleaning and upkeep of multiple banking facilities. This 100% driving role operates Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm with potential nights and weekends. Overtime may be available and shifts may vary by business needs.

Report to various banking locations in the DMV area, providing cleaning and floor care as needed. Pay is $18.00 per hour, with ABM offering a comprehensive benefits package. No diploma required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
• Notify Manager concerning repairs or additions to building systems
• Establish and maintain communication with clients and team
• Comply with safety, security, and quality standards
• Clean and dust furniture, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment
• Move furniture and equipment to clean areas
• Clean interior glass, windows, blinds, and mirrors
• Wash and replace blinds
• Gather and empty trash
• Track supplies and patrol for debris
• Wipe tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms

Job description

The Route Driver provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned multiple banking facilities setting. This position is 100% driving/on the road, 18.00 per hour; paid weekly. Shift hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Flexible schedule can include nights and weekends, Overtime will be available., shift hours may vary depending on business needs, will report to several banking setting locations in the DMV area. Provide cleaning, floor care and miscellaneous tasks as needed per the client

Pay: $18.00 per hour

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
• Wash and replace blinds
• Gather and empty trash
• Tracks and maintains supplies, Police the parking lot for debris
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms

Required:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required and on the job training provided
• Valid state issued driver's license
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• 2 years of commercial cleaning and floor tech, carpet cleaning experience
• Proficiency using maps and location equipment in the field
• 1 year of similar work experience
