Job summary

Prairie Operating Employee Co., LLC is seeking a Roustabout to perform maintenance, repair, and construction across oil and gas well sites in the DJ Basin, Colorado. You will ensure safe, compliant field operations with facility upkeep and equipment installation.

Role requires 3–5 years in oil & gas construction, CDL Class A, OSHA/H2S/First Aid certs, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions with long hours and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of oil & gas construction and maintenance experience.
• CDL Class A license (Air brakes not required; Automatic only acceptable).
• OSHA 10/30, H2S Awareness, First Aid/CPR certification required or able to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of DJ Basin facility construction standards and production systems.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.

Position Title: Roustabout

Department: Field Operations

Location: DJ Basin, Colorado

Reports to: Maintenance Foreman

Salary Range: $24/hr. - $29/hr.

Job Summary

The Roustabout position is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and construction activities across oil and gas well sites and production facilities in the DJ Basin. This role is responsible for safe, efficient, and compliant execution of field operations, including facility upkeep, equipment installation, cost control, and environmental stewardship whilemeeting all applicable Colorado and federal regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Flowline installation and repair
• Tank battery maintenance
• Separator, heater treater, and production equipment maintenance
• Valve replacement and piping modifications

• Proficient operation of heavy equipment, skid steer, backhoe, telehandler, Etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work environment

• Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions across the DJ Basin
• Exposure to heavy equipment, noise, and hazardous materials
• Physically demanding work including lifting, climbing, and extended periods on foot
• Long hours, rotational schedules, and on-call availability may be required
• Travel between multiple job sites within the basin
