Job summary

D.O.M. magazine is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I to repair engines, sheet metal, structure and systems on rotorcraft. You will follow directions from senior technicians and perform inspections, repairs and rebuilds using hand and power tools, rivet guns and welding equipment.

Qualified candidates will have rotorcraft experience, two years on military rotorcraft, knowledge of manuals and ability to work multiple shifts. FAA licensing may be required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Military Aviation Powertrain and/or General Repair, Hydraulic, Engine, Avionics and Sheet Metal Qualification Courses or civilian equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience on military rotorcraft.
  • Ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift schedules.
  • Ability to pass background check and obtain clearance if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneumatic, hydraulic, engines, APU, ventilation and heating systems.
  • Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures using hand/power tools and equipment.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical data to determine repair methods.
  • Perform phase and hourly inspections.
  • Lead and direct small maintenance teams.
  • Perform other tasks as directed.
