Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking a shift-based technician to insulate, wind and hook-up exciter armatures and rotors for motors and generators at the Mankato, MN site. You will follow specifications, interpret schematics, and apply brazing/soldering to coil connections under normal supervision.

Requires high school or vocational graduation and 6,000 hours of basic-skill experience. Must be a sole US citizen, with a bi-weekly pay schedule and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational graduation or equivalent is required.
• General knowledge of coil winding techniques, machine setup, insulation, soldering and brazing procedures and materials through on-the-job training.
• Must be a sole US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Insulate, wind and hook-up exciter armatures and rotors for motors and generators.
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure proper hookup.
• Apply brazing or soldering to coil connections; may require brazing certification per Mil-STD 248.
• Normal supervision; six thousand (6,000) hours experience to acquire basic skills.
