Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking a second shift insulator/winder to work on-site in Mankato, MN. You will insulate, wind and hook-up stators for motors and generators, following specifications and using hand and power tools. A high school or vocational diploma and on‑the‑job training are required; US citizenship is mandatory.

Work hours run 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with bi-weekly pay and a 10% shift differential. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational graduate or equivalent.
• General knowledge of coil winding techniques and operations.
• Machine set-up operations, insulation, soldering procedures, and materials knowledge through on‑the‑job training.
• Must be a sole US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Insulate, wind and hook-up stators for motors and generators.
• Follow methods and procedures as outlined in specifications.
• Uses hand and power tools as required.
• Normal supervision; six thousand (6,000) hours experience required to acquire basic skills.
• Performs other duties as designated by supervisor in the same salary grade or below.
