Job summary

Douglas Dynamics is seeking a Rotomold Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses on loading, molding and assembly of rotationally molded parts, with a emphasis on quality and efficiency in production.

The position requires basic math skills, computer literacy, and the ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and move to access molds and equipment. We offer competitive pay and strong benefits in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math.
• Computer literacy required.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach above shoulders and outward.
• Ability to bend, squat and crawl.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate rotational molding equipment according to production specifications.
• Load and unload molds, ensuring correct placement of resin inserts and components.
• Monitor molding cycles, machine settings and product quality throughout production.
• Perform mold changes, basic machine adjustments, upkeep and preventive maintenance.
• Trim finish and assemble molded parts as required.
• Inspect parts for defects, run test cycles and perform quality audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor equipment operations; identify and correct issues, assist with troubleshooting and escalate as needed.
• Operate a powered industrial truck for material handling.
• Communicate with other departments to support production flow.
• Keep work area organized and ensure molds, tools and equipment are clean and properly stored.
