Job summary

Management Analysis Technologies (MAT), Inc seeks a Military Science Instructor to teach in classroom and field settings, supporting ROTC programs and CST at Fort Knox, KY. The role emphasizes practical instruction, leadership development, and cadet mentorship.

Candidates should have recent commissioned/officer experience in the U.S. Army, with ability to travel for CST and recruit events, and to live and instruct in field environments during training exercises.

Qualifications

• Have served as a commissioned or non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army or active Reserve Component.
• Permanent employment - minimum of six (6) years; temporary - four (4) to six (6) years.
• Service within the last five years with honorable discharge or retirement.
• Thorough knowledge of Army structure, mission objectives, procedures, and DoA policy.
• Ability to teach effectively in classroom and field training settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide military science instruction and field training per Cadet Command’s POI and ROTC requirements.
• Lead Warrior Tasks, Battle Drills, small unit tactics, and physical fitness training.
• Coach cadet teams (Ranger Challenge, Drill Team, Color Guard).
• Instruct cadets on the leader/officer-to-NCO relationship in garrison and combat environments.
• Instruct cadets on receiving and executing plans and contingency management.
