Position Title: ROTATIONAL FIELD ENGINEER - New Grad & Intern
Location: FIELD
FLSA Class: EXEMPT
Responsible to: Operations Engineering Manager

Position Summary: A Rotational Field Engineer Operation Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing technical operations in the field. This position will work directly on-site or in remote locations, ensuring that systems, equipment, and processes are functioning optimally.

Essential Duties and Management Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Troubleshooting: Respond to technical issues, faults, or emergencies at customer sites or remote locations and perform troubleshooting to identify the root cause of the problem.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and commission various equipment, systems according to specifications.
  • Field Testing and Evaluation: Conduct field tests, inspections, and evaluations to assess the performance, functionality, and efficiency of systems or equipment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and technical specifications related to field operations, including test results, maintenance logs, and equipment inventory.
  • Customer Support: Provide technical support and guidance to customers or end-users, addressing their concerns, answering queries, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements while working on-site or in the field. Identify potential hazards and take appropriate measures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborative Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, technicians, and customer representatives, to ensure smooth operations, project execution, and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement within field operations. Propose and implement innovative solutions and best practices.

Educational and Other Requirements:

  • Earned or earning Bachelor's degree in engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum, etc
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with relevant systems, equipment, or technologies within the specific industry. Proficiency in troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and testing procedures.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions under time constraints. Strong decision-making skills and adaptability in dynamic field environments.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and stakeholders effectively. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals clearly.
  • Fieldwork Experience: Prior experience working in field operations, preferably in a similar industry, is highly desirable. Familiarity with on-site working conditions, safety protocols, and remote location challenges.
  • Organization and Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records/documentation.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Willingness to travel extensively and work in different locations, including remote or challenging environments. Availability to work during non-standard hours or on-call rotations when required.
  • Ability to relocate
