Job summary

The MJ Companies in Carmel, AR is offering a 12-week internship within the Enterprise Data team. The program provides hands-on exposure across Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and BI Development, with real projects and a capstone presentation to leadership.

You will work with SQL, data processing pipelines, and Power BI to build dashboards while learning modern enterprise analytics and software practices in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Junior or senior standing by Summer 2027.
• By Spring 2027, completion of coursework in data structures and algorithms and database design.
• Coursework or exposure to data analysis and/or data visualization.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language (C#, Java, C++, etc.).
• Exposure to SQL and relational databases.
• Exposure to Python, Power BI, or similar analytics technologies preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a rotational internship across Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and BI Development.
• Contribute to software development, write SQL queries, and support data processing and pipelines.
• Build and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Contribute to capstone project and present findings to MJ associates and leadership.
• Support testing, documentation, data validation, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to develop professional skills.
