Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is required or equivalent technical experience.

• Ability to quickly gain knowledge of AbbVie processes, policies and methods.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration across disciplines.
• Communicates clearly in written and verbal formats.
• Able to work well with other engineers in a fast-paced environment.
• Negotiation and reconciliation of differences when needed.
• Ability to recognize risks vs. gains in actions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Quality, EH&S policies, AbbVie Engineering Standards, and other governance areas.
• Assist with manufacturing projects to improve yield, quality, cycle time, and cost reduction.
• Plan and conduct small projects; monitor execution and report progress to management.
• Provide technical support and assist in training personnel for operations.
• Investigate data, analyze problems, and propose actionable solutions.
• Gather/process data using SPC and support action plans to improve robustness and quality.
• Build relationships with colleagues, customers, and vendors to support initiatives.
• Convey information effectively to stakeholders and keep customers informed throughout projects.
