Are you a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician looking for a new challenge? Do you want to join a dynamic and rewarding team that's passionate about delivering exceptional results? We're seeking a talented Technician to join our team.

Provide mechanical maintenance support to facilities & utilities for Rahway, New Jersey pharmaceutical research campus and headquarters for our Company's Support day-to-day preventative and corrective maintenance for assigned area(s) and may include technical input to mechanical utilities including HVAC, steam, water and/or other utilities.

Qualification/Requirements

Experienced HVAC technician with working knowledge of mechanical operations and able to maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot plant equipment.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of heating and air conditioning systems, including rooftop equipment.
  • Repair, replace, or calibrate controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring associated with HVAC systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and understand procedures for all HVAC equipment, including changing of filters and cleaning condensers and coils.
  • Ability to understand building/equipment management controls to be able to start, stop, seek status, or change conditions on HVAC systems.
  • Interpret equipment blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Utilizes diagnostic equipment to assess malfunctions and determine needed repairs.
  • Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC units, chillers, and associated equipment.
  • Knowledges of program control wires and other related electrical equipment.
  • Wire and connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and humidity controls according to wiring schematics.
  • Work cooperatively with others and independently with little direction.
  • Maintain routine records and prepare reports.
Education Minimum Requirement

High School Graduate or equivalent, HVAC license or technician certification.

Required Experience And Skills

4 years apprenticeship or 5 years of experience as an industrial HVAC mechanic with increasing levels of responsibility. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a team is a must. Applicants must be familiar with all phases of industrial maintenance including:

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures to assemble, dismantle, and overhaul equipment using hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of building management systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits & wiring and operating principles of motors.
Preferred Experience And Skills
  • HVAC shop and machine tool operation experience.
  • Desire to learn and support in a dynamic, growth environment.
  • Familiarity with Building Automation Control Systems and Computerized Management Maintenance Systems.
  • Familiarity with cGMP for pharmaceutical manufacturing desired.
