Job summary

Cooper Lomaz Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Lead Multiskilled Engineer for a hands-on role at our client site. You will keep plant operations safe, efficient and reliable, handling planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns and fault diagnostics.

Working on a two-week rotating shift pattern (40 hours per week), you will cover early and late weeks, respond to faults, support site services, and drive continuous improvement using CMMS to record work and parts.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds/Apprenticeship or equivalent recognised engineering qualification.
• Experience in planned and reactive maintenance in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and diagnose faults across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform fault-finding and repairs on a range of production and site equipment.
• Support maintenance of boilers, water systems, cooling systems and fabrication equipment.
• Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Record maintenance activities and parts used in CMMS.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure safe, efficient site operations.
