Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies in Decatur, Illinois is seeking a Rotating Equipment Technician. This role offers an hourly wage of $30-38/hr and the opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute to a skilled maintenance team.

You will assist with installation, alignment, dismantling, and movement of industrial machinery; perform preventive maintenance; read blueprints; use calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators; and log work in CMMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
• 2–4 years of industrial/mechanical maintenance experience.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Experience reading blueprints and using hand/power tools in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, alignment, dismantling, and movement of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment.
• Inspect components for wear, damage, and alignment; escalate as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance tasks.
• Log work in CMMS or job-tracking systems with accurate records.
