Job summary

NGC (America) is seeking a Shop Technician in Fort Worth, TX to support gearbox, main shaft, drivetrain repair, rebuild, inspection, and assembly. The role focuses on disassembly, inspection, and assembly of gear drives and shafts, adhering to safety and quality standards.

The position requires a mechanical background, ability to read drawings and tolerances, and capability to operate forklifts and cranes. Expect a heavy industrial environment with 5S practices and periodic travel.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background required; gearing experience a plus.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and measurement tools.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts/cranes or willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Support operations by performing value-added work.
• Report to the Production supervisor.
• Operate forklifts and cranes safely.
• Adhere to safety, PPE, ISO and EHS requirements.
• Read tolerances, drawings, and BOMs.
• Disassemble, clean and inspect gear drives per guidelines.
• Assemble and inspect gear drives and main shafts per procedures.
• Maintain 5S, travel up to 15% annually.
