Job summary

CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to provide technical expertise on mechanical integrity and reliability of rotating equipment. The role collaborates with inspections, maintenance, operations, and capital projects to ensure safe and reliable operation at the Corpus Christi, Texas refinery.

The position emphasizes applying API/ASME standards, performing root-cause analyses, and supporting turnarounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of ASME/API/ANSI/PIP standards and industry best practices.
• Ability to manage projects with limited supervision.
• Experience with vibration analysis, API 610/682 familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliability support to refinery operations to improve safety and mechanical availability.
• Plan, troubleshoot and repair rotating and reciprocating equipment following industry practices.
• Use condition monitoring data (vibration, oil analysis, operational data) to recommend actions.
• Develop programs to improve unit performance and reduce maintenance costs.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and support travel for training or inspections.
