Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to support reliability and troubleshooting of rotating machinery across U.S. facilities, with emphasis on La Porte and Baytown, TX.

The role involves field work, turnarounds, and collaboration with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams. The candidate will engage in RCA, failure analysis, and preventive/predictive maintenance, driving reliability improvements while supporting safe, compliant plant operations across the Americas

Qualifications

• Experience with rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, expanders, blowers, gearboxes, and related systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment using field data, maintenance history, and operating trends.
• Familiarity with reliability practices, RCA, and preventive/predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Support troubleshooting of rotating equipment issues, including trend review and inspection scope definition.
• Participate in root cause analysis, failure analysis, and corrective action planning.
• Provide technical support during overhauls, turnarounds, outages, inspections, and repairs.
• Support reliability and efficiency improvements through monitoring and condition-based maintenance.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and vendors to evaluate performance and implement improvements.
• Assist with re-rating, optimization, and reliability upgrades of existing machinery.
