Job Description

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer specializing in Compressors & Steam Turbines to join our Rotating Equipment Division (RED) under the Equipment Consulting Services Department. RED provides high-level technical consultation/support to all operational facilities, joint ventures, and mega projects from early stage to startup.

Your role will involve developing value-adding concepts and technologies, maintaining engineering standards, and supporting operational excellence related to rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide technical consultations for dynamic (centrifugal) and positive displacement (reciprocating) compressors, gearboxes, and steam turbines.
2. Specify and review equipment designs, ratings, and specifications for new projects and modifications.
3. Maintain and improve company standards for compressors, gearboxes, and steam turbines.
4. Develop and introduce new technologies and innovative ideas to address business challenges and enhance equipment reliability and performance.
5. Lead in developing solutions for machinery technical issues.
6. Provide guidance, technical advice, and mentorship to team members and junior engineers.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 20 years of experience in rotating equipment, focusing on compressors and steam turbines in refineries, chemical, or gas processing facilities.
3. Experience in analyzing performance, troubleshooting, and repairing process gas compressors, steam turbines, and gearboxes, including auxiliary components.
4. Knowledge of international codes and API standards related to rotating equipment.
5. Category II vibration analyst certification.
6. At least two recent engineering reports or case histories on rotating equipment issues.
