Job summary

Veritiv Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator to safely and efficiently operate manufacturing equipment, preparing products for shipment according to quality and customer specifications. You will work across production areas to provide technical and labor support as needed.

The role requires problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and the capacity to work independently, adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machinery to produce according to customer specs and quality requirements while meeting deadlines and safety policies.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs and improve processes.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, tickets, and manuals to run machines.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure correct production and shipping.
• Assist in other departments and special projects as needed.
