Leprino Janitorial Technician Job Description

Leprino, a global leader in the dairy food and ingredient industry, is seeking a Janitorial Technician responsible for maintaining the appearance and sanitary condition of plant general areas, restrooms, lunchrooms, and locker rooms.

Leprino is the world's largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and a major supplier of premium dairy nutrition ingredients, serving many of the world's largest food companies, restaurant chains, and distributors.

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean environment, adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, wear proper protective equipment, understand Standard Operating Procedures, and know Critical Control Points related to Food Safety and USDA regulations.
• Clean lunchrooms, locker rooms, and restrooms thoroughly, including trash removal, wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and restocking supplies.
• Utilize proper waste disposal methods, including hauling trash to outside dumpsters.
• Assist in cleaning offices and moving linen bins as required.
• Sweep and mop staircases and perform other cleaning duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay is $19.14 per hour with a step increase after 6 months. Night shift premiums of $1.25 per hour apply for hours between 6 PM and 6 AM. We offer comprehensive benefits including competitive wages, full benefits, bonus programs, 401(k) matching, and profit sharing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential job functions safely.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability to work a minimum of 8.5 hours.
• Accurate work completion, strong work history, and safety awareness in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills.

Additional Skills and Requirements

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Intermediate mathematical skills and record-keeping abilities.
• Good time management and independent work skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and perform bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing tasks.

Work Environment

• Exposure to indoor ambient temperatures, wet/slippery conditions, loud noises, and varying temperatures.
• Specific vision requirements, including reading screens and distinguishing colors.
