Job summary

YMCA Camp Greenville seeks a proactive Ropes Coordinator to lead our ropes and challenge course programming—climbing walls, high ropes, zip lines—and coach the Ropes Program Specialists in delivering safe, fun experiences for campers and staff.

You will maintain safety protocols, coordinate equipment, and collaborate with leadership to ensure smooth operation across all ropes activities, while modeling camp values and integrity.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old by June 2027.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain before June 2027.
• Experience facilitating ropes, climbing, or challenge course activities.
• Ability to lead a team, enforce procedures, and respond to emergencies.
• Willingness to complete Camp Greenville site training and demonstrate competency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and supervision of campers, staff, and equipment during ropes activities.
• Plan, direct, and supervise safe, engaging ropes programming (climbing walls, high ropes, zip lines).
• Provide daily leadership and supervision to the Ropes Program Specialist team.
• Coordinate opening/closing, equipment checks, and logs per SOPs.
• Support staff training and assess readiness to facilitate activities.
