Position Summary

The Rope Access Certified Pipefitter is responsible for executing standard rope access operations to perform inspection, maintenance, repairs, and other industrial tasks on petrol/chemical equipment while on ropes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, ISO’s, filed installations, material takeoffs, field sketches, and understand specifications.
• Fabricate and install screw pipe, socket weld pipe, stainless tubing, carbon steel weld pipe, stainless steel weld pipe.
• Miter and fabricate all pipe.
• Install valves, underground pipe, pipe hangers, and supports.
• Steam and heat tracing.
• Use beveling machine.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs.
• Conduct minor valve maintenance and repairs.
• Test piping systems.
• Oxygen and acetylene cutting.
• Perform basic rigging.
• Operate pneumatic and electric tools.
• Leak test tubing systems.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• NCCER Certification Plus preferred.
• IRATA / SPRAT Level 1 or 2 certification; Level 3 preferred.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Proficiency in rescue techniques and ability to assist in rescues.
• Adherence to safety standards, OSHA, and site-specific procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical skills and experience with welding (TIG, MIG, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of PPE.

• Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.
