Job summary

WireCo is seeking a Production Operator for our Sedalia manufacturing facility to set up, load and operate production machines in Spooling, Stranding or Closing areas, ensuring quality and safety. You will work under supervision of the Production Supervisor and engineering/quality staff.

The role requires fluency in English, basic math and mechanical aptitude, and the ability to stand 10–12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to learn to use micrometers, tape measures, feeler gauges, and basic hand tools.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for 10–12 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Record set-up information at the start of each order.
• Load full bundles of wire or bobbins and prepare machines.
• Thread machine and adjust dies, tension, and lay per order specifications.
• Operate in Spooling, Stranding, or Closing areas under supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
