Job summary

Triton Environmental Consultants, Ltd. is seeking a Rope Access & Insulation Technician to operate in Houston, TX, performing two-rope access tasks and insulation work in accordance with IRATA or SPRAT standards.

You will install, adjust, inspect, and dismantle rope access systems, maintain safe work positioning, and identify hazards with stop-work authority when necessary. Duties include insulation installation and maintenance, materials handling, and site cleaning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; clean driving record may be needed.
• SPRAT/IRATA rope certification and NDT certifications are assets not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform rope access tasks using two-rope systems per IRATA or SPRAT standards.
• Install, inspect, and dismantle rope access systems as required.
• Maintain work positioning and tool control at all times.
• Identify hazards and stop work when unsafe conditions are present.
• Install, remove, and repair mechanical insulation for piping, vessels, tanks.
• Work with insulation materials including mineral wool, calcium silicate, foam glass, fiberglass, aerogel where applicable.
• Inspect insulation systems for damage, moisture intrusion, CUI, or degradation.
• Perform general cleaning and minor maintenance to keep equipment and shop areas in order.
• Handling of required safety rules and procedures; follow and lead others in safety practices.
