Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking certified Rope Access RT Technicians local to the Greater Houston area for full-time, nested positions to start as soon as possible. Competitive rates and comprehensive benefits.

The RT Technician performs NDT operations and evaluates results of NDT tests as certified by Mistras Services written practices to routine NDT methods, inspecting piping, tanks and vessels using Radiography.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; technical school or college credits preferred.
• Must possess a current ASNT NDE Level II certificate in the NDT method responsible (RT).
• Ability to generate technical data orally, in writing, and electronically.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Train RT assistant, run the film and grade the film per procedures directed by the customer.
• Set up and calibrate equipment and interpret results per codes, standards, and specifications.
• Guide trainees and NDT level I personnel on the project.
• Organize and report the results of NDT tests.
• Generate NDT data, organize data, and report findings.
