Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Rope Access Technician to join our team. This role performs maintenance, inspections, and repairs in hard-to-reach areas using rope-access techniques, with a strong mechanical background and comfort at heights on industrial sites.

You will use hand and power tools, weld and rig as needed, inspect systems, and ensure safety protocols. Travel to various construction sites and collaborate with team members to complete assignments efficiently.

Job Summary

Skills

• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to the construction and maintenance industries.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Experience in welding and rigging practices is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
• Must have experience with drilling and earth stabilization projects.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for truck driving responsibilities.
• Previous experience working on construction sites or geotechnical stabilization environments is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications Required For This Position

Education – no minimum education requirements.

Certification/Licenses –
ASNT Level II certification preferred

• Valid TWIC card required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)
• Able to pass physical exam
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to provide clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors, ability to solve technical issues in the field

Experience – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
