Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking certified Rope Access RT/CR Technicians local to the Greater Houston area for full-time, nested positions to start as soon as possible. Competitive rates and comprehensive benefits.

The RT Technician performs NDT operations and evaluates results of NDT tests as certified by Mistras Services written practices to routine NDT methods. Inspects piping, tanks and vessels using radiography; Level 2 CR preferred; Rope Access certification required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/college credits preferred.
• Must possess a current ASNT NDE Level II certificate in RT; CR preferred.
• Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to document technical data orally, in writing, and electronically.

Responsibilities

• Train RT assistant, run the film and grade the film per procedures.
• Set up and calibrate equipment; interpret and evaluate results per codes and standards.
• Guide and mentor NDT level I personnel on tasks and procedures.
• Organize and report the results of NDT tests.
• Generate NDT data, organize data, and report findings; evaluate data for disposition.
• Other duties as assigned.
