Job summary

Acuren is seeking an IRATA / SPRAT Rope Access Insulator to work from ropes at heights 30 to 300 feet. The role involves ascending/descending structures to remove, repair or install insulation on industrial equipment or piping, while harnessed for extended periods.

Responsibilities include insulation installation, material preparation, vapour barrier installation, and surface finishes. Asbestos experience and TX asbestos removal certification are a plus; TWIC card is required, along with strong

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; NCCER Plus preferred.
• Minimum 4 years field experience in insulation; asbestos experience a plus.
• TWIC card required; must read/interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Select, install and secure insulation per specifications and configuration.
• Prepare insulating material for diverse surfaces and layouts.
• Install vapour barriers and surface finishes (metal cladding, canvas plastic, cement).
• Remove or neutralize asbestos insulation.
