Job summary

ATC Drivetrain seeks a skilled technician to determine root causes of transmission defects and perform rework as needed. The role involves disassembling units, identifying assembly errors, and recommending process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include operating standard tools and measuring devices, inspecting parts, and maintaining equipment while following QS 9000 and ISO 14001 standards. Strong reading/writing of technical information is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to comprehend technical information and read/write legibly.
• Willingness to pursue technical schooling to fulfill job requirements.
• Must learn operation of test stand.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble failed transmission to determine root cause of failure and rework as required.
• Identify assembly errors and make suggestions to improve process.
• Operate air impact gun and assorted hand tools to remove and install bolts, snap rings, screws, rivets or other fasteners.
• Inspect parts and subassemblies for defects; scrap defective parts.
• Clean and perform operator maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Adhere to QS 9000 and ISO 14001 policies and procedures.
