Job summary

StepStone Hospitality in Wichita, KS is seeking a housekeeping supervisor to manage daily room cleaning operations, inspect rooms, and lead Room Attendants and Laundry staff. The role requires hands-on supervision, adherence to hotel standards, and availability on weekends and holidays.

Ideal candidates have a high school education and relevant training, with physical fitness to meet lifting and movement requirements. Additional language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school education and relevant training and experience required.
• Additional language ability preferred.
• Minimum lifting of 20 pounds; minimum pulling of 20 pounds.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
• Inspect all assigned rooms and suites daily: bed stripping, cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, lights, TV, spot cleaning, stocking supplies.
• Supervise Room Attendants and re-clean items missed to Stepstone and hotel standards.
• Log missing items, maintain lost and found, and ship or mail claimed items to guests.
• Supervise Laundry attendants and assist with folding and daily par levels.
• Report items in need of repair to Engineering and maintain equipment.
• Protect guest safety and well-being and be courteous to guests and co-workers.
• Weekends and Holidays are required.

• Supervise Room Attendants, including the re-cleaning of any items missed or not cleaned to Stepstones and hotel standards.
• Log all missing items and maintain catalogue of lost and found and ship or mail out claimed items to the guests.
• Supervise Laundry attendants including assist with folding and maintaining daily par levels to the day’s needs.
• Report all items in need of repair to Engineering and maintain equipment used in work.
• Protect guest safety and well-being; be courteous to all guests and co-workers.
• Weekends and Holidays are required.
