Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa seeks a Rooms Controller to support daily operations and deliver elevated guest experiences focused on renewal, comfort, and well-being.

The role involves managing room assignments, coordinating with Reservations, Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Engineering, and aligning readiness with arrival timelines to ensure smooth guest arrivals.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel experience in Front Office, Rooms Control, or Reservations required.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, room inventory management, and guest flow coordination.
• Familiarity with Marriott Bonvoy or comparable loyalty programs preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver attentive, guest-centric service with anticipation and personalization.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration across all hotel departments.
• Proficiency with property management systems (PMS) and hotel systems.
• Ability to problem-solve quickly, calmly, under pressure.
• Flexible to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Professional, composed demeanor aligned with wellness-focused hospitality environment.

• Address maintenance needs, overbooking, and last-minute changes calmly.

Position Summary

The Rooms Controller plays an essential role in supporting the daily operations of The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa, with a strong focus on delivering elevated guest experiences that reflect a commitment to renewal, comfort, and well‑being.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage room inventory and assignments with accuracy to ensure all guest arrivals are thoughtfully prepared
• Coordinate closely with Reservations, Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Engineering to align room readiness with arrival timelines
• Assign rooms based on guest preferences, VIP status, loyalty recognition (e.g., Marriott Bonvoy), and special requests
• Proactively manage early arrivals, late departures, upgrades, and personalized guest experiences
• Continuously monitor room availability throughout the day to maintain optimal flow and operational efficiency
• Conduct thorough pre‑arrival planning by reviewing occupancy forecasts, group blocks, and upcoming arrivals
• Serve as a central communication point across departments to resolve room-related issues quickly and effectively
• Address maintenance needs, overbooking scenarios, and last‑minute changes with calm, guest‑first problem solving
