Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is hiring for Club Wyndham Kingsgate Resort in Williamsburg, VA. The Rooms Controller coordinates guest room inventory and serves as a liaison among Guest Services, Housekeeping, Engineering and Reservations.

We seek detail-oriented individuals with strong communication, cash handling, and computer skills; resort/ front desk experience preferred. Competitive benefits available.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain the hotel's day-to-day guest room inventory.
• Liaise between Guest Services, Housekeeping, Engineering and Reservations regarding room status and distribution.
• Organize room moves, control occupancy days and supervise upgrades.
• Maintain high quality standards and follow safety protocols including OSHA and GHS.
• Manage Guest Room Inventory Distribution for the resort.
• Coordinate group handling and special requests with management.
• Ensure proper handling of special reservations and VIP rooms.
• Maintain a room pool for early arrivals and special requests.
• Coordinate room status with Housekeeping and Engineering.
• Communicate priority arrivals to relevant teams.
• Be knowledgeable about resort room types and occupancy trends.

Now hiring for Club Wyndham Kingsgate Resort in Williamsburg, VA. The pay for this full time position is $23/hour plus benefits.

How You'll Shine:

• The Rooms Controller will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining the hotel's day-to-day guest room inventory.
• This role will act as a liaison between the Guest Services, Housekeeping, Engineering and Reservations departments regarding the status and distribution of all guest rooms.
• The Rooms Controller will organize room moves, control maximum occupancy days and supervise upgrades.
• This role will maintain the company's expected high quality standards when interacting and communicating with internal and external customers and will follow all safety protocols as dictated by company policy and maintain OSHA, including the new Global Harmonized System (GHS) regulations.
• Responsible for the Guest Room Inventory Distribution for the resort.
• Confers with all appropriate management regarding handling of groups, unusual circumstances, or special requests.
• Ensures that special reservations and accommodations are handled properly.
• Blocks group rooms, daily rooms, address special request and VIP rooms.
• Maintains a room pool from which rooms may be pulled for early arrivals and special requests.
• Coordinates the status of rooms with Housekeeping and Engineering.
• Communicates priority arrivals with Housekeeping, Engineering and resort leadership as applicable.
• Is thoroughly knowledgeable with all resort room types and resort facilities.
• Have a thorough understanding of hotel occupancy trends.

Compensation

Compensation Generally starting at $23.00 - $23.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, skills, training, and work location.
