Job summary

SkyBridge Luxury & Associates is partnering with a leading hospitality organization in Alabama to identify an experienced Rooms Controller to oversee room inventory strategy and system accuracy within a high-volume, full-service Marriott environment.

This role collaborates with Revenue Management, Sales, Reservations, Front Office, and Hotel Leadership to maximize revenue while supporting an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Marriott experience is required.
• Hands-on experience with MARSHA is required.
• One Yield experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong rooms background within a full-service hotel environment.
• Experience in Rooms Control, Reservations, Front Office, Revenue Management, or a related rooms discipline.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of room inventory, reservations, rates, group blocks, and demand management.

Responsibilities

• Manage room inventory, rates, restrictions, and availability to support revenue optimization strategies.
• Maintain the accuracy of Marriott systems, ensuring rates, packages, authorizations, and inventory align with business objectives.
• Partner with Revenue Management to support forecasting, demand management, pricing strategies, and inventory decisions.
• Collaborate with Sales and Reservations to manage group blocks, room allocations, and inventory needs.
• Work with Front Office leadership to ensure inventory strategies support revenue and guest experience.
• Monitor booking activity and inventory performance, identifying opportunities to improve occupancy and profitability.
• Analyze demand patterns and recommend strategic inventory adjustments based on business needs and market conditions.
• Troubleshoot reservation, rate, and inventory discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain awareness of current and future demand, group activity, compression periods, and other factors impacting room availability.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3 direct reports.
• Ensure operational excellence, system accuracy, and strong communication across departments.

This highly collaborative role works closely with Revenue Management, Sales, Reservations, Front Office, and Hotel Leadership to ensure room inventory, rates, and availability are strategically managed to maximize revenue while supporting an exceptional guest experience.

The ideal candidate brings a strong rooms background, hands-on Marriott systems experience, and the ability to balance detailed inventory management with broader revenue and operational objectives. We are also open to a strong Front Office or Reservations professional who has the right Marriott systems experience and is ready to take the next step in their career.

What You’ll Do

• Manage room inventory, rates, restrictions, and availability to support revenue optimization strategies

What We’re Looking For
