About the Role
InterContinental Indianapolis is opening Winter 2025 in the iconic Monument Circle and is seeking a dedicated team to start the brand’s best hotel in the city. The position involves day‑to‑day food and beverage service, guest support, and hospitality operations for guests, VIPs, and banquet events.
Daily Responsibilities
- Set up and deliver all food and beverage orders following the hotel’s guidelines, procedures and policies.
- Provide guests with exceptional service to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Conduct floor sweeps and retrieve all food and beverage trays in line with sanitation guidelines.
- Set up and deliver all VIP amenities.
- Serve all hospitality suites according to Banquet Event Orders and hotel policies.
- Complete all shift side work as outlined in the operating procedures.
- Respond to customer needs, issues and comments to ensure a quality experience; report all communication to the shift supervisor.
- Perform all cash handling responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Strength to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg), including bending and kneeling.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills.
- Flexibility to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.
- Compliance with local laws on food handling and alcohol service; must be of legal age and fluent in the local language.
- Strong communication skills – warm, welcoming and approachable.
