Job summary

Element-Food-Solutions-LLC seeks aProduction Lead to oversee shift operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will ensure material readiness, monitor line performance, verify product quality, and document production metrics using handheld scanners.

You will train staff, rotate tasks every two hours, and uphold SQF/GMP standards. Bring a high level of safety awareness, strong leadership, and the ability to work overtime.

Job description

Summary of JobSupport production rooms and support machine operators to ensure production runs efficiently and that production and quality goals are met.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesSupport a culture of safe production and safe work practices.Ensure there is enough material to run the entire shift, and that all materials are recorded.Verify item/quantity allocated /quantity remaining is correct on job tickets.Assess labor at the beginning of the shift to ensure the room can run efficiently.Oversee the functionality of the metal detector, including training and testing.Verify the quality conditions of all end products to ensure compliance with product specifications.Verify and document units required per hour utilizing handheld scanners.Ensure paperwork is filled out entirely at the scheduled times.Record material consumption on handheld scanners, print labels, and report and tag finished goods pallets.Utilize red-zone system for the required line checks per order and enter appropriate downtime categories.Cross train all employees on all tasks in each room and ensure proper rotations every 2 hours.Cover for GL positions during employee breaks or when the line is down.Support employee training and assist new employees as needed.Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.Complete other duties as assigned.Food Safety Responsibilities:Follow all relevant food safety rules including SQF, GMPs, and Food Defense.Report any observed food safety violations to your supervisor immediately.Education and QualificationsHS Diploma or Equivalent3+ years production lead experience (in a manufacturing setting is desired).Able to work flexible schedules including overtime.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and lead employees.Attentiveness to detail, including high-level safety awareness.Ability to work effectively in a high-speed, fast-paced environmentEducation and QualificationsHS Diploma or Equivalent3+ years production lead experience (in a manufacturing setting is desired).Able to work flexible schedules including overtime.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and lead employees.Attentiveness to detail, including high-level safety awareness.Ability to work effectively in a high-speed, fast-paced environment.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (typically when feeding blenders, palletizing or preparing kits). (Many rotation stations involve much lighter lifting (under 10 lbs), but the ability to lift 50 lbs is required for the blending, palletizing, and pre-weight rotation).Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shiftFrequent and repetitive use of hands, wrists, and arms for packing, folding, and lifting.Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting.Occasional use of stairs or ladders to access platforms or machinery.Ability to work in a dry, dusty environment (flour/powder processing) and adapt to varying temperatures within the plant.
