Job summary

Westin Inc in Nebraska is seeking a production and packaging team member to support daily operations on retail and food service lines. You will monitor GMPs, date checks, packaging, and palletizing while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include documenting production, performing pre-op inspections, LEAN participation, and adhering to lockout/tagout and safety policies. A positive, professional attitude and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

  • Physical ability to lift 20–50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Check dates on machines and product for accuracy.
  • Package product and palletize with correct stacking patterns.
  • Run product through taper/dater and ensure correct dating.
  • Complete daily paperwork and document production amounts.
  • Maintain clean work area and follow safety policies.

Job description

Essential FunctionsChecking dates, and labels, during startup and switchovers on retail and food service lines.Monitor seal integrity of pouches throughout the day.Ensuring employees follow GMPs and Procedures.Ensuring all food safety and occupational safety policies are being followed and enforced at all times.Report production numbers to Operations Manager and General Manager.Perform a Pre-Op inspection one morning each week.Report all safety violations/hazards/near misses in a timely mannerMonitor break, and break timesEnsure date on machine matches product datePlug in rollersCheck date if partial pallet is presentCheck amount of product on partial pallet (number of cases)Set up boxes for packagingPackage productCheck product while packaging to ensure it is up to code with correct date and packageRun product through taper/daterPlaced filled and taped boxes on pallet using correct stacking pattern for each particular productEnsure boxes are dated correctlyWrap finished palletsMove pallets into and out of the packaging room using pallet jack or following the Pallet Lifting PolicyTake any unfinished product to coolerCount unfinished pallet.
