Job summary

Sierra Grande, a Ted Turner Retreat, is seeking a part-time Room Attendant to ensure rooms and public areas are spotless, welcoming, and well stocked for each guest’s arrival.

You will assist with lodging operations at Sierra Grande and related reserves in southern New Mexico, maintaining a safe, clean environment and coordinating with front desk on room status and guest needs.

Qualifications

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Documentation establishing identity and employment authorization within three days of hire under federal law.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, suites, and public areas with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Replenish linens, towels, and amenities.
  • Respond to guest needs and serve as a guest liaison.
  • Coordinate with Front Desk regarding room status.
  • Coordinate annual deep cleaning of guest facilities.

Sierra Grande , a Ted Turner Retreat, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Room Attendant to join our team. ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Room Attendant, you'll play a vital role in creating an exceptional experience for our guests by ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, inviting, and serene environment.

In addition to supporting lodging operations at Sierra Grande, the Room Attendant will also clean and maintain guest lodging accommodations at Ladder and Armendaris Reserves located in southern New Mexico as needed.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere by ensuring our rooms are spotless, comfortable, and fully stocked for each guest's arrival.
  • Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, suites, and public areas with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Replenishing linens, towels, and amenities while ensuring everything is in perfect order.
  • Responding to individual guests’ needs.
  • Serving as a guest liaison as required.
  • Ensuring guest service is at the highest possible level.
  • Handling the cleaning and folding rooms linen.
  • Coordinating the timely return of all guests lost and found items to the front desk.
  • Coordinating with Front Office regarding guest room status.
  • Maintaining knowledge of arrivals / departures and stay-overs for each day.
  • Staying up to date on most efficient eco-friendly cleaning supplies.
  • Maintaining knowledge of handling hazardous materials.
  • Reporting maintenance issues.
  • Informing Management of any guest issues.
  • Maintaining a safe environment for both staff and guests.
  • Coordinating annual deep cleaning of guest facilities.
  • All other duties as assigned.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • This position requires operation of vehicles, and you’ll need to possess a valid driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Your driving record will need to meet the standards and requirements of the Company and the Company’s insurance provider.
  • You’ll need to present documentation establishing both identity and employment authorization within three days of hire pursuant to federal law.
Preferred:
  • Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required. We’re happy to train the right person!
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience working in a luxury hospitality setting.

On a regular basis, you can expect to:

  • Stand; walk; move hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, bend, shake, pour, carry, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Perform physical labor for extended periods of time.
  • Be on your feet for extended periods of time.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to work long hours, occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals. You will occasionally be exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
