Overview

Maintain the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean environment for guests, associates, and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following are specific contributions to be developed during training to successfully complete the program and be placed in a hotel, with or without reasonable accommodations:

  1. Clean bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors using appropriate cleaning tools and agents, involving physical tasks like extending arms over head, bending, and stooping.
  2. Follow cleaning procedures and instructions for cleaning agents.
  3. Strip and make beds, changing linens, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
  4. Dust furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
  5. Vacuum rooms and empty trash bins.
  6. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms.
  7. Manage room keys, transport supplies, and inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance.
  8. Maintain regular attendance and be available to work as scheduled.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms over head, and work in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to assist coworkers and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of cleaning agents and equipment operation, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to push/pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and guests.
Compensation

Not eligible for tips or discretionary bonuses.
