Job summary

Hyatt House White Plains is seeking a Room Attendant to clean and maintain guest rooms to brand standards in a fast-paced hotel setting. You will ensure rooms meet established cleanliness criteria, handle linen changes, and deliver courteous guest service on a daily basis.

The role calls for English communication, reliability, and the ability to work varied schedules including weekends or holidays as needed. Opportunities exist for growth within the hotel’s housekeeping leadership path.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training.
• Understand and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, friendly greeting.
• Clean guest rooms to standard within allotted time by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Change bed linens and replace towels and amenities.
• Dust furniture, walls and fixtures; polish surfaces.
• Notify managers about repairs needed in guest rooms.
• Process guest items left in rooms according to lost and found policy.
• Follow MSDS/OSHA safety guidelines and wear protective equipment.
• Perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short-staffed or busy.
• Aim to improve guest satisfaction scores and overall satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

• Perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods.

• Perform other duties as requested by management.
