Courtyard by Marriott Alexandria Old Town/Southwest is seeking a Room Attendant to clean and maintain guest rooms to the hotel’s standards. You will greet guests warmly and ensure rooms are spotless, fresh, and well-stocked while adhering to safety protocols.

The role emphasizes efficient room turnover, attention to detail, and teamwork. Strong English communication and prior housekeeping experience are preferred. Work hours may include holidays and weekends, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training.
• Understand and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, friendly approach.
• Clean guest rooms to hotel standards within allotted time.
• Change bed linens and replace towels and amenities.
• Dust and polish furniture, walls and fixtures.
• Notify management about room repairs needed.
• Handle lost and found items per policy.
• Follow safety practices and use cleaning chemicals properly.
• Perform house person and lobby attendant duties when needed.
• Aim to improve guest satisfaction scores and overall service.
• Ensure guest satisfaction across departments.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Focus

• Greet guests upon interaction with a warm and friendly greeting.
• Clean guest rooms according to standards within the allotted time frame by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; dust furniture, walls or equipment.
• Notify managers concerning the need for repairs in guest rooms.
• Process guest items left in rooms according to lost and found policy.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills
