Job Overview
Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning all guest rooms, ensuring a 5-Star, 5-Diamond experience according to Forbes standards. The role involves collaborating with other departments to uphold the resort's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, replacing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, sanitizing, and replenishing amenities.
- Inspect rooms to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met; report issues promptly.
- Follow safety and chemical handling procedures in compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members using radios or earpieces.
- Assist in training and motivating team members to perform their duties efficiently.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support department operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- At least two years of experience in upscale hotel housekeeping preferred.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle guest requests professionally.
Licenses and Certifications
- Possibility of needing a gaming license, at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
The role requires physical activity including lifting up to 40 pounds, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. The environment is primarily climate-controlled, with travel and evening/weekend shifts possible.
