Job summary

Valor Hospitality is seeking a dedicated housekeeping team member to clean guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards. You will restock amenities, tidy bathrooms, strip and remake beds, and keep closets and carts organized for efficient service.

No formal experience is required; a high school diploma or equivalent is acceptable. The role involves physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing carts, and working in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate hotel services to guests, vendors, staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas by meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety.
• Restocks towels, soaps and room amenities and replaces literature and stationery as needed.
• Washes bathrooms, mirrors and fixtures; cleans floors and surfaces to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Lifts mattresses and inspects under beds for cleanliness and safety.
• Inspects locks and room equipment; reports maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies to protect hotel property.

Lifts mattresses to check for soil or objects between mattresses and under bed.Checks closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle and overhead shelves and restocking the guest room supplies such as hangers, extra blankets and pillows.Vacuums rooms, public areas and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs., and lifting/moving heavy furniture in order to vacuum entire area of carpet including underneath furniture and hard to reach areas.Inspects all door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and associates.Inspects all room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios, phones) to ensure proper working order and immediately reports all room status and room maintenance deficiencies, in writing, to the Executive Housekeeper for prompt repair/resolution.Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times in order to protect and preserve hotel property.
