Location Description

The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the "Jewel of the Desert" since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration and has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space, and 8 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining).

Overview

As a Room Attendant, you would be responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms / suites, and report maintenance deficiencies to maintain rooms / suites in compliance with standards. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

• Clean rooms / suites as assigned, which includes: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming and washing windows / tracks.
• Report rooms as clean and available.
• Report maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain room in compliance with hotel standards.
• Strip dirty linens / towels and remove used amenities from room/suite.
• Check maid cart for supplies, stock as needed.
• Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement.
• Replenish linen and guest amenities.
• Clean balconies, if applicable.
• Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time requests).
• Provide customer service to guests, including information about hotel services, activities and local attractions.
• Assist co-workers, as requested.

This is a full-time position, and you must have availability to work weekdays, weekends (including Sundays), and holidays. The shift for this role is the AM shift starting at 7:30am Monday-Friday and 8am on the weekends.

Qualifications

• Prior general labor (physical, hands-on work) experience
• Proven tenure in prior jobs
• Prior housekeeping experience, preferred
• Prior luxury hotel / resort experience, preferred
• Keen eye for detail
• Team player
• Strong work ethic
• Flexible / adaptable
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
