Job summary

Main Street Hospitality is seeking a Room Attendant to create a serene, polished environment for guests. You will clean and refresh guest rooms according to brand standards, restock amenities, and report maintenance needs to ensure flawless experiences.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior housekeeping or hotel experience, with strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms and suites to hotel brand standards, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, replenishing amenities, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Ensure linens are fresh and report any stained or damaged items.
• Restock housekeeping carts daily and maintain storage closets and carts.
• Respond to guest requests for towels, pillows, etc., promptly and politely.
• Identify and report any maintenance or safety issues observed during cleaning to supervisors or engineering.
• Handle guest belongings with discretion and protect privacy and security.
• Maintain consistent quality, pace and attention to detail across rooms or areas.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures, including PPE as required.
• Perform other duties as requested by management in support of housekeeping.

Job Purpose:

The Room Attendant is an essential ambassador of comfort and cleanliness, responsible for creating a serene and polished environment that guests can retreat to and rely on. With precision, pride, and a commitment to detail, this role supports the guest experience by ensuring that rooms are immaculately maintained and refreshed. At Main Street Hospitality, our Room Attendants are more than cleaners—they are caretakers of the guest experience, upholding our brand’s high standards and ensuring each room reflects the care and thoughtfulness that define our service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and prepare guest rooms and suites to hotel brand standards, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, replenishing amenities, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
• Ensure all linens are fresh and in good condition; promptly report any stained or damaged items.
• Restock housekeeping carts daily with necessary supplies and maintain cleanliness and organization of storage closets and carts throughout the shift.
• Respond to guest requests for items or services (e.g., towels, extra pillows, etc.) in a timely and courteous manner.
• Identify and report any maintenance or safety issues observed during daily cleaning to the housekeeping supervisor or engineering team.
• Practice proper handling of guest belongings and demonstrate respect for guests’ privacy and security at all times.
• Maintain consistent quality, pace, and attention to detail across all assigned rooms or areas.
• Adhere to hotel safety and sanitation procedures, including the use of PPE when required.
• Perform any and all other duties as requested by management in support of housekeeping and hotel operations.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environment preferred.
