What You Will Do
- Cleans guest rooms as assigned.
- Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Uses correct cleaning materials for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
- Transports cart with cleaning supplies, guest room amenities and linens to assigned guest room and positions securely. Provides cleaning service to designated rooms on assignment sheet: empties trash containers and ashtrays; removes all dirty terry and replaces with clean linen; replaces soiled bed sheets and makes bed with clean linen; cleans bathroom and sets lighting and thermostat to designated levels.
- Responsible for maintaining positive guest relations.
- Resolves guest housekeeping complaints and ensures guest satisfaction.
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
- Maintains complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Uses equipment only as intended.
- Anticipates guests’ needs, responds promptly, and acknowledges all guests, regardless of busyness or time of day.
- Familiarizes with all services/features and local attractions to respond accurately to guest inquiries.
- Removes soil, dirt, soap build-up, and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain, and floor.
- Replaces facial tissue, toilet paper, and bathroom amenities in correct amounts and locations.
- Updates status of rooms cleaned and turned down on assignment sheet/system.
- Returns and restocks cart at end of shift.
- Empties vacuum bag and wipes vacuum clean.
- Ensures security of assigned guest room keys.
- Reports damages, maintenance problems, and turns over lost and found items to the manager.
- Makes up cribs and rollaway beds, and re-hangs or refolds clothes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
$23- $24 hourly
